“La Scentella” was born
out of Roberto Ferretti’s long held passion for the
countryside. With his purchase in 1998 of a 15 acre plot complete
with a rustic “casa colonica” in need of total
restoration he began to realise his dream. His vision was
to cultivate, prepare and serve typical “contadino”
food and wine and most importantly to share the experience
with friends. Later, having renovated the house and started
the planting, he decided to create a formal tourist facility
where the local welcome could be extended to people of different
origins, cultures and sensitivities in a climate of friendship,
sharing and laughter.
The
name La Scentella, is derived from the stream which crosses
the property.
